5 Herbs and Plants that are great to use on your skin and have historically produced great benefits

Every woman wants to have healthy and radiant skin. We all rely on cosmetics, beauty treatments, but more  often we are turning  to nature when we want to give the best to our skin. Herbs, like many other plants, are a part of our daily lives in one form or another. Today I will share with you some of them that caress the condition of your skin.

Chamomile

Aromatic chamomile contains alpha bisabolol - a compound that is thought to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The herb also has a beneficial effect on skin irritations, such as burns and acne. Chamomile can be used to rinse the face, reduce bags under the eyes, as an aromatic herbal tea. It is present in a number of cosmetic products in skin care.

Lavender

Aromatic, stress-reducing, lavender is available in pharmacies as a tea, essential oil, floral water, is contained in a number of cosmetic skin care products. Long-term research has proven that lavender has a nourishing effect on the skin, soothes, has an antibacterial effect, slows down premature skin aging. Marigold

One of the most effective plants for dry skin. Marigold, like chamomile is used in the cosmetics industry. It has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral properties that can significantly improve  skin health. The fat-soluble compounds contained in it are good for the skin. According to long-term research, calendula relieves inflammation, psoriasis, rashes, reduces the appearance of age spots and more.

Basil

A wonderful herb that you can add to smoothies, salads, dishes, can be consumed as a great herbal tea, or be used as a face tonic. Basil has antifungal and antibiotic properties. It helps revitalize the skin, improves its appearance and complexion, soothes, rejuvenates. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamins A and C, which fight harmful free radicals.

Aloe vera

In the Mediterranean they call aloe "the plant of immortality " because of the many benefits it offers to the skin. Aloe has anti-inflammatory properties, nourishes the skin in depth, making it a suitable care for drier skin. It is believed to reduce the environmental damage  caused to it. According to research on people with dermatolysis, aloe vera helps strengthen the skin, relieves acne, improves its complexion and more. It is said that Cleopatra’s favorite skin lotion came from that succulent plant.
